Test Engineer - Irvine, CA

We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented Test Engineer who will be a part of every aspect of the product’s life cycle.

 

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of test plans, test stations and test procedures. Our vertically integrated company, including operations and engineering staff, are experienced veterans in providing low-power, lightweight solutions for capturing imagery across the spectrum.  Our passion for supporting the user community and their mission demands excellence in everything we do, from the talent we recruit to the highly engineered systems we deliver. This position offers a challenging opportunity to test cutting edge low SWAP-C vision and targeting systems. Working with a multi-disciplinary technical team, you will drive the verification and validation of military and commercial-based products. To be successful, you must accept ownership of each product’s test plan while satisfying the needs and concerns of all stakeholders. You will have significant influence on our overall test strategy by helping define processes, procedures, and best practices that enable a quality product.

 

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Author detailed step-by-step test procedures to verify product function and performance

  • Coordinate and perform product testing during initial product development as well as full-scale production

  • Draft test plans, including a project testing schedule, required sample sizes and relevant testing conditions

  • Gather and organize information regarding appropriate test equipment and materials.

  • Design and implement test stations to aid in product verification and validation

  • Study data gathered during testing and evaluate the validity of the results.

  • Write detailed technical reports to present findings; based on findings, recommend modifications needed to correct issues.

  • Develop ongoing quality control programs to be incorporated into the regular production process.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated documentation / organizational skills.

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Clearance.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • BS/BA in engineering, science or related field.

  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience.

  • Experience with MIL-STD-810G environmental testing

  • Experience with reliability testing
