Job Description – Senior Project Engineer

We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented Senior Project Engineer who will be a part of every aspect of the product development lifecycle.

 

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the development and launch of core product features. This position offers a challenging opportunity to design cutting edge low SWAP-C handheld systems. Working with a multi-disciplinary technical design team, you will drive the design, implementation, and testing of military and commercial-based systems. To be successful, you must accept ownership of the product’s design and development while satisfying the needs and concerns of all stakeholders. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.

 

 Key responsibilities include:

• Leadership of project activities throughout the entire product lifecycle, including supporting multiple programs simultaneously

• Interface with vendors, customers and team members of the technical design team to coordinate all aspects of program execution

• Prepare and coordinate customer design review materials (PDR, CDR, etc.)

• Identify and clearly document risks/issues and corresponding mitigation/resolution plans

• Forecast and assignment of team resources to support needs of multiple programs

• Author and execute comprehensive plans and procedures for product verification

• Generate and maintain project schedules

• Contribute to proposals and technical leadership on new business opportunities

Minimum qualifications:

• BS/BA - Engineering, physics, or directly-related field

• 4- 10 years of relevant industry experience

• Ability to work under pressure with multiple competing priorities

• Excellent technical and interpersonal skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Adept user of Microsoft Office and Teams software

• Ability to obtain a DoD Clearance.

 

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in a decision-making leadership role

• Design-engineering experience prototyping handheld electronic products

• Skilled user of Microsoft Project
