We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, the Manufacturing Engineer will actively contribute to the launch of our brand-new manufacturing facility in Stevensville, MT. They will be responsible for the creation and optimization of production processes, oversee the setup of advanced testing and calibration equipment, and ensure the highest standards for quality and cost efficiency within the operation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. New Product Introduction (NPI):
· Work closely with engineering teams to smoothly transition new products from the prototype phase to full-scale production.
· Develop and execute NPI plans, ensuring that manufacturing processes are optimized, and production equipment is ready for new product assembly.
· Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analysis for new product manufacturing.
· Provide technical support and guidance to resolve any manufacturing challenges that arise during the NPI phase.
· Create and update manufacturing documentation specific to the new product, including assembly instructions, quality control criteria, and process workflows.
· Ensure that the NPI process aligns with project timelines and quality standards, and actively participate in design reviews and product testing to meet project milestones.
2. Product Development Support:
· Collaborate with the product development team to design manufacturing processes that are efficient, cost-effective, and scalable.
· Provide input on product design for manufacturability and assembly.
3. Quality Assurance:
· Implement quality control systems and standards to maintain product quality.
· Investigate and resolve production-related quality issues and develop preventive measures.
4. Testing and Calibration Equipment Management:
· Oversee the setup and maintenance of testing and calibration equipment within the manufacturing facility.
· Develop and maintain a schedule for regular calibration and maintenance of equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
· Train manufacturing and quality assurance teams in the proper use of testing and calibration equipment.
· Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment-related issues and participate in root cause analysis for testing failures or inaccuracies.
· Maintain records and documentation related to equipment calibration, testing, and maintenance.
5. Manufacturing Documentation:
· Develop, maintain, and control manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process workflows.
· Manage revisions and updates to manufacturing documents, tracking changes and maintaining accurate version control.
· Train manufacturing personnel on the proper use of documentation and procedures, facilitating consistent and high-quality production.
· Continuously improve and streamline manufacturing documentation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the production environment.
6. Bill of Materials (BOM) Management:
· Update and maintain accurate BOM (Bill of Materials) information within the company's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
· Manage engineering change orders (ECOs) and revisions related to BOM updates and ensure their proper integration into the ERP system.
7. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
· Analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
· Develop and implement process control methods to ensure consistent and high-quality production.
· Drive Lean manufacturing principles and initiatives to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
8. Cost Reduction:
· Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs without compromising product quality.
· Optimize resource utilization, minimize waste, and improve yield.
9. Safety and Compliance:
· Promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Minimum qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
· Proficiency in CAD software, statistical analysis tools, and manufacturing simulation software.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Preferred qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
· Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, including experience in CNC Machine Shop and/or Electronics Assembly.
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
